Error

Description

Connection Reattempt

Failed - Connection timed out

The system disconnected during the update.

Ensure the system can maintain a stable connection and reattempt.

Failed - Could not establish connection to system

The server was unable to connect to the system to begin the update.

Ensure the system can connect to Dealer Admin and stay connected for the entire update process.

Failed - system firmware version did not update

The system did not update for one of the following reasons:

  • Dealer Admin was unable to reconnect to the system to verify that the update went through.

  • The system did not return a newer firmware version than its previous connection.

In System Information, select Test Connection and see if the firmware version updates. If it does not update, try updating the system again.

Failed - Could not complete update

The installed firmware already matches the update file.

Verify the system firmware. The system may already be up to date and an update is not necessary.

Failed - Error checking update status

The server received an invalid response to a check on the update status.

In System Information, select Test Connection. If the firmware is up to date, then the update succeeded. Otherwise, update the system again.
